"Our first single off 'Illuminate'. This one quickly became a fan favorite. Originally written as a slow, melancholy acoustic ballad. The band changed that post-haste. We felt it right to have it fast, poppy, and catchy... although the lyrics remain heavy-hearted.

If you take this song for face value it is a song about a break-up. One that still stings and you haven't gotten over even after some time. The one break up that shook your world. You know, that one that got away.

But the deeper you go into the lyrics you'll find that even though the tune has a desolate tone it has the glimmer of hope. Acceptance is a beautiful thing. Being content with the shit hand you've been dealt isn't a bad thing. Sometimes you'll find you can't change life and letting it change you for the better is the way to go. It's called growing and maturing. Or at least that's how I see it."

lyrics

Verse:
It's been two whole years and seventeen days
Since I spoke your name, since I've seen your face.
As time goes by and the seasons change,
I'm still missing you. Are you missing me?

Verse:
Pictures of you tattooed in my brain.
The memory sticks and the fact still remains.
I've been dreaming about you every god damn day.
I'm still hung up on how good your lips taste.

Chorus:
Forget me not.
Don't write me off
Like some fleeting thought, just some memory lost.
Forget me not.

Verse:
I wonder what you're doing now.
Do you ever think of me and how this all panned out?
I don't hate you for the choices that you made.
Although I still wish that you never strayed.

Bridge:
I don't believe in god but I'd hope and I'd pray
If there's a chance you'd come around here some day.
I won't hold my breath, I won't be waitin' by the phone
I've accepted the facts and I've learned to sleep alone.
